Wine Tasting in Prosser Washington

Wow what an amazing weekend. Luke and I along with 6 other friends traveled in an RV to Prosser Washing for Wie tasting. It was a blast. It's about a 6 hour drive which was part of the whole experience of the trip. Got in about 10:00 Friday night then went to 6 different wineries on saturday. Way too much fun. We have never done anything like that and would do it again in a heart beat.

Teresa, Laree, Greg, Luke and I at one of the many Wineries in Prosser.

This was one one of the Barrels and I thought it looked awesome!

These are some of the Barrels of wine we drank from. This particular wine, Barbara, made from Wyndstone Wineries was by far the best!

The Whole Group (LtoR) Rick, Luke, Ylonda, Amanda, Alicia, Ryan, Greg, Laree, Brad, Becky and Mike. We are standing in side The Wine Makers Loft.

Learning something New

Always nice to see your kids "pick" this up at daycare. Proud parents right here!

First picture that you can see my big front teeth.

What a Sunday!

Out for a bike ride this weekend. What a beautiful Sunday!

Yes we do know these two...not by choice though! ;-) Jason and Natalya joined our bike ride.

We ended our day out at the park. Maris had a blast going down the slide and on the horses.

The Grand Kids

Wow here they all are. Benn, Rhett, Kristian, Emma, Maris and Alicia. All the Winkle grandkids at Nanny and Poppy's house over Spring Break. Great to see all of them and be able to hang out with Kristian and Rhett (they live in Washington).

Zoo Days

Always a good time when we go to the Zoo and this year Maris was able to enjoy it too. She played with her buddies and cousins Alicia and Emma. She rode the Merry-Go-Round and love it. She got in the petting zoo with a goat and then hung out with a rabbit for awhile. Both Luke and I were shocked that she wasn't scared. I think this fear of animals is starting to subside. Does that mean I have to get her a dog when she asks for one??? Beings her first real word is "puppy" and she screams it...I'm a little worried about it!!

Easter

This year was so much fun. The week before Easter Maris and I practiced hunting eggs around the house. Mom wanted to make sure Maris got the hang of it...and she did alright. Luke and I got Maris a play set for Easter. Only took us 2 hours to put together and we didn't kill eachother. I call that a miracle!! Maris loves it and thinks she is big enough to slide down all by herself, face first even.

1st Birthday

I can't believe that it has already been over a year since I had Maris. Sure is crazy but here are some fun photos of her 1st birthday. She looks so big...next thing is school huh...(don't mind me wiping my tears away).

A Little Winter Fun at our Cabin

So Maris officially hates the snow and cold. We got this cute snow suite at the 2nd hand store and she loves being in it...inside. She cried the entire time we were outside. I guess next year we will just try it again!
Luke, Alisha and I went snowshoeing in Pine near our cabin. What a blast. It was a lot of work but so much fun. We will defiantly be doing that again sometime soon.

Maris' IRS Swim Lessons

About 5 months ago I received an email from my brother that had a baby falling into his back yard pool. The child was able to swim to the top and float face up for over ten minutes. Crazy huh! This made me sooo sick to my stomach, I felt so bad for the baby. When I showed it to Luke he said "isn't the point that the baby is still alive...why are you sick about it". And that is when I realized this is something Maris needs to do to maybe (hopefully never have to use) save her own life if she ever fell into water. So now we are on month 3 of ISR Swim lessons and we are so proud of her. She has a new appreciation for the water...even baths. Check out these pictures and the video's on her in action.
